The Rock vs Roman Reigns WrestleMania Match Teased On ‘Young Rock’

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of pro wrestling’s biggest breakout stars. The Great One has had a stellar Hollywood career, becoming one of Tinseltown’s most bankable leading men. NBC even has a popular sitcom about his upbringing in the wrestling business, ‘Young Rock.’

The Rock has been extremely busy, and that means he has not had much time to appear for WWE in recent years. Fans have been clamoring for a match between The Rock and the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. The story has been on the backburner as Johnson has been working on several other projects, including resurrecting the XFL.

On this week’s episode of Young Rock, a tease was dropped that has fans very excited. A young Joe Anoa’i was depicted watching the 1996 Royal Rumble with The Rock, his family, and the Iron Sheik. Joe tells the Young Rock character that he wants to wrestle one day.

The Rock responded by saying that a match that big deserves to take place at WrestleMania. The big tease has many fans hoping that we will finally get to see the bout next year. Thus far, nothing has been officially announced.

The Rock vs Roman Reigns seems destined to take place eventually. The tease in this week’s Young Rock just added more fuel to the fire. Even Dwayne Johnson himself knows how big the matchup would be.

We will know in a little under a year if the dream match will finally take place on the grandest stage of them all. For now, fans at least have a glimmer of hope. This little easter egg could be the start of a very slow burn towards one of the biggest matches WWE could hope to put on.
