Meek Mill Rips Fake First-Week Sales Numbers

Meek Mill is currently one of the most established rappers in the modern Hip-Hop world. On top of his great songs, Mill is also a loving and compassionate person, especially towards his family and also his friends. He also called out fake first-week sales numbers recently.

Meek Mill released his fifth studio album Expensive Pain on October 1stlast year and it had features from Lil Baby, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Uzi Vert and others. After the release of the album, Meek Mill made it clear that he deserves the same level of respect as Kendrick Lamar.

This week saw many big albums drop including records from Fivio Foreign (B.I.B.L.E.), Coi Leray (Trendsetter), and the joint project from 42 Dugg and EST Gee (Last Ones Left.

First week projections predict that Leray is set to bring in 11K, Fivio is at 29K, and Dugg and Gee’s record will sell 3k. While fans have trolled them over the projected sales numbers, other rappers defended them. This included Meek Mill, who took to Twitter and ripped the first-week sales numbers for being fake.

They crashing the rap game out …. that everybody drop on Friday bs …. Wtf is that … why would you want to sell your product on the same day as the competition… for a billboard look? lol what does that do for the artist?

We don’t go off first week numbers ….Labels run that shit … and most of the numbers be fake … you can clearly see all the artist that’s killing shit! Focus on your brand and impact!!

Meek Mill is passionate about the industry and also cares a lot about what his peers do as well. We’ll have to see how much the aforementioned albums end up selling in the end.
