The Charlotte Hornets took on the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA postseason play-in tournament on Wednesday night. Things did not go well at all for Charlotte. The Hornets were blown out of the building by a score of 132-103.

Hornets star Miles Bridges was ejected from the game after arguing about a goaltending call. The game had already been decided, and the call would not have affected the outcome. Bridges was still visibly frustrated as he stormed off the hardwood.

While he was heading to the locker room, Miles threw his mouthpiece into the stands. The errant throw hit a young girl near her face. Teammates and coaches had to escort him from the arena.

A Hawks fan had been taunting Miles Bridges just before the incident. Miles tried to hit the unruly patron but instead hit the girl by mistake. After the game, he expressed that he was sorry and wanted to do something nice for the fan.

“I was aiming for the guy that was screaming at me and it hit a little girl. So that’s definitely unacceptable on my part and I take full responsibility”

The loss eliminated the Hornets from NBA playoff contention. It was an ugly way to end a very respectable season. Miles Bridges is hoping he can make it up to the young fan somehow. He will have the entire offseason to work on his rap game and come up with ideas.
