Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak again appeared to be in a mood recently. Pat Sajak is back doing what he does best these days, stoking the red hot flames of viral controversy. As a result many viewers and fans was raising their voice on social media.
The newest gaffe by “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak has social media users rolling their eyes and groaning. Fans sighed behind their computer screens as Sajak asked letter-turner Vanna White a stunning question on a recent episode of the long-running game show.
Ashely Fabian, a professional opera singer, won $67,410 in both the regular play round and the bonus puzzle. However, she appeared to be caught in the middle of a strange dialogue between Sajak and White. “Are you an opera buff at all?” Sajak inquired, to which White replied, “Yes. I’m not a buff, but I like opera.”
Sajak then wondered, “Have you ever watched opera in the buff? I’m just curious.” White laughed it off after responding with a stern “No.” As the bizarre scene transpired, though, eyebrows were raised and fingers were click-clacking.
One user tweeted: “I feel like I just witnessed a #metoo moment on @WheelofFortune?”
Another viewer asked: “Did Pat Sajak just ask Vanna White if she watches the opera naked? #WhatInTheWhatNow? #WheelofFortune #TheWheel.”
A third user chimed in: “@WheelofFortune someone please replace this man. @patsajak is absolutely inappropriate asking @TheVannaWhite if she’s watched opera naked? Are you serious? Gross.”
Another pointed out: “Dude is trying to keep the thrill alive for this job any way he can. I’m amazed he hasn’t resorted to torturing contestants during the show.”
Sajak sparked controversy earlier this month when competitor Chris Davidson missed out on a trip to Puerto Rico after making a beginner error answering a question. Instead of correctly answering the task and responding with “frozen concoction,” he first added an extra article — “a frozen concoction” — before repeating his answer as “frozen concoction,” which was quickly dismissed by the judges.
Davidson got money despite the fact that his blunder cost him a sunny holiday. He progressed to the bonus round, and his total winnings came to $13,900. Check out the tweet below.
