Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock has millions of admirers hanging on his every word.
The Rock recently answered to a WWE on FOX Q&A. The question was based on a throwback SmackDown logo. The Rock went ahead to re-tweet that the superstar after whom the show was named was none other than Harvey Whippleman aka Downtown Bruno.
C’mon @WWE. The superstar who this show was named after. The superstar responsible for “Smackdown” officially becoming a word in the @MerriamWebster dictionary. And that superstar is… Harvey Whippleman aka Downtown Bruno!

Downtown Bruno, according to The Rock, is responsible for SmackDown being a Merriam Webster dictionary word. The Rock is also a businessman and a very intelligent one at that. He also loves keeping himself in the best physical shape possible.
WWE has a lot of plans in the works, and some of them will require a lot more coordination. The Rock’s excessively busy schedule makes booking him for a WWE cameo extremely tough, but there are strong whispers that The Great One will make a presence at Survivor Series in some capacity.
