Kelvin Joseph was named as a person of interest in a homicide investigation in Dallas. The Dallas Cowboys player was called in for questioning. After his meeting with law enforcement, two suspects have been arrested.
People were concerned that the murder investigation would derail his career. However, Kelvin was co-operative with the police and is currently out of trouble. Two people were arrested in connection with the crime. According to the Dallas Police Department (via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News), police have apprehended Aries Jones, and Tivione English.
We will have to wait for the evidence to be presented in court before any further judgment can be made. The person murdered was 20 year old Cameron Ray. The murder happened on March 18, following a fight outside a bar.
Cameron was involved in a fight that resulted in him being shot. An SUV driven by suspects drove past and opened fire, killing Cameron. Kelvin Joseph’s lawyer has admitted that Joseph was a passenger in the vehicle from which the shots were fired.
The former Kentucky Wildcat brought a lot of promise as a future star into his rookie season. The cornerback was a second-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in last year’s NFL Draft. For now, Kelvin is out of trouble but anything can happen as this is an ongoing investigation.
