Offset Gets Credit For Coming Up With Baby Son’s Name

Earlier this week, Cardi B and Offset shared shared the first Instagram photos of their 7-month-old son. The power couple finally revealed the name of their baby boy, Wave Set Cephus. It seems, baby boy, Wave can thank his rapper father for his super cool first name.

Sources closes to the couple shared with TMZ that the Migos rapper was the one who came up with the name Wave. According to insiders, once Cardi and Offset knew they were having a boy they started looking around words and names for their first son.

They couple zeroed in on the name, Wave after Offset came up with it. Clearly, both the parents loved the uniquely cool name. However, the middle name is a much different story.

Sources told the outlet, Cardi and Offset spent much longer figuring that out. They were originally toying with Marley, a play on Cardi’s middle name, Marlenis. They rejected the idea as it didn’t have the right ring to it.

When Wave was born on Sept. 4 and his parents saw him for the first time, Cardi and Offset decided to go with Set. So, both names are courtesy of Offset as most of Offset’s friends call him Set. Meanwhile, we will be on the lookout for more updates. Stay tuned to Thirsty.
