Barry Keoghan Arrested In Dublin For Public Intoxication

Barry Keoghan is known for his role in Marvel’s “Eternals”. Keoghan most recently starred as the Joker in Matt Reeves directed ”The Batman“. It seems that the Marvel-DC franchise actor recently had some trouble with the law.

The Wrap has confirmed that Keoghan was arrested by the Gardaí in North Dublin recently for public intoxication. According to an article in the independent.ie, Keoghan was in the Clongriffin neighborhood of Dublin. The Gardaí reacted to noise complaints before 7 a.m. from a resident who alleged Keoghan was outside their window.

When the Garda came on scene, they discovered Keoghan intoxicated and detained him. Keoghan was subsequently arrested and transported to the Coolock Gardaí Station, where he was fined. When contacted for comment, an Irish police spokesperson, An Garda Sochána, confirmed the arrest in a statement.

Gardaí arrested a man in his 20s for a public order incident that occurred in Clongriffin, at approximately 6:45am, Sunday 10th April 2022. He was later released without charge and issued with an FCN [Fixed Charge Notice].

Keoghan previously attended a screening of “The Batman” on the Warner Bros. property in February, where Pattinson, director Matt Reeves, Zoe Kravitz (who plays Selina Kyle/Catwoman), and producer Dylan Clark took part in a Q&A. Keoghan’s representatives have yet to react to TheWrap’s request for comment.
