Kaalan Walker was embroiled in controversy after being accused of many sexual assaults. This case was the subject of a trial, and the rapper’s fate has been finally decided. Kaalan Walker has been awarded rape charges for raping several women.
Kaalan Walker’s trial began a little over a month ago, and the actor-rapper heard his sentence on April 18. Walker was accused of luring women with his celebrity and contacts. The Superfly actor was accused of raping six women, three of whom were 16-year-old models at the time of their alleged attacks.
The case has been updated by Rolling Stone, and it appears that a jury has returned with a divided verdict. In court, Walker was claimed to have sobbed. There were many updates regarding the conviction of the rapper.
“Kalaan was acquitted of charges related to three of the 10 victims in the case, including two charges of forcible rape.”
The rapper was sobbing during the judicial proceeding. He was pleading that he didn’t rape anybody but the evidence was saying something else. The court had to come to a conclusion, so it gave its verdict today.
“I didn’t rape anybody, your honor. I did not rape anybody.”
Walker was escorted from the courtroom in handcuffs. His lawyer has stated that he will appeal the ruling. Walker was described by prosecutors as a “serial rapist” who used Drake’s fame to attract young aspiring models and actresses. He has refuted the accusations leveled against him.
After the verdict was decided by the court, Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Wallace gave his statement to the outlet regarding the matter supporting the victims.
“We feel that with this verdict, the jury gave these victims back their voices. This was very sophisticated. He picked these girls and he appealed to their dreams and hopes and name-dropped Drake and used his connection to Halle Berry to get these girls somewhere and gain their trust. Once they were there, it wasn’t about doing photoshoots, it was about assaulting them.”
