Keanu Reeves Secretly Proposed Marriage To Alexandra Grant

Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant made their relationship public in November 2019 at the LACMA Art Film Gala. They weren’t shy about sharing loving glances at each other, and finally, the public got the hint. It was recently reported that Keanu had secretly proposed to Alexandra.

OK Magazine reports that Reeves is set to exchange wedding vows with Alexandra Grant after proposing to his ladylove. The Hollywood A-lister created quite a stir in March when he was spotted selecting diamond rings at a Los Angeles jewelry store. The rumors are true, and the 57-year-old actor is looking forward to walking down the aisle soon.

It was the sign that his fans had been hoping for: The Matrix hunk is ready to marry his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, after four years of dating. “Keanu popped the question after they returned home from Europe, where he was filming back-to-back movies, and she was there the whole time to support him,” an insider spilled, adding that his packed schedule made him realize that he can’t live without Grant.

It’s been a long time in the making for the low-key couple, who became close after working together on Reeves’ 2011 book, Ode to Happiness. According to the source, Reeves’ friends, including his Speed co-star Sandra Bullock, have been urging him to propose for months. “It was a heart-to-heart with Sandra that finally inspired him to put a ring on it,” dishes the source, “and he’s so happy that he did.”

The down-to-earth action star and the visual artist have already begun planning their dream wedding, “which will be very laid-back and take place outdoors before a small group of family and friends,” the source says. “Of course, they’re writing their own vows — and no doubt it will get very emotional.”

If anyone deserves a happy ending, it’s Reeves, who has been through a lot. Jennifer Syme, his then-girlfriend, gave birth to a stillborn daughter in 1999; two years later, she was killed in a car accident. “Keanu’s been to hell and back,” notes an insider, “but now he finally has this wonderful woman to share his life with.” Adds the source: “Alexandra is a huge light in his life. Everyone can see how she fills him with joy.”
