The Dallas Cowboys and other teams around the National Football League have been gearing up for the upcoming start of training camp. Teams have been holding voluntary workouts to prepare for the Summer grind. That normally is not news. It becomes news when one of the participants is involved in an active murder investigation.
Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph was named as a person of interest after a fight lead to the shooting death of 20-year-old Cameron Ray. Surveillance footage caught a man wearing a pendant that matched Johnson’s rap name, “YKDV Bossman Fat.” After police spoke with Kelvin, two arrests were made in connection with the shooting.
Kelvin Joseph has been cooperating with the ongoing investigation. It appears he may have simply been a bystander. Joseph’s involvement hasn’t kept him away from the Cowboys facility, as team EVP Stephen Jones confirmed to 105.3 The Fan that Kelvin has been working out with the team.
“We’re waiting to get all of the information. But, in the meantime, he was here yesterday, participating in the offseason program.”
The Dallas Cowboys have joined Kelvin Joseph in their cooperation with the authorities. There doesn’t appear to be any problem with his participation in these workouts. The Cowboys have had a recent string of trouble with the law. They’re hoping Kelvin was just an innocent bystander in this case.
