Kyrie Irving is feeling the heat from Boston sports fans. The hate is not just coming from TD Garden, where the Celtics are facing Irving’s Brooklyn Nets in an NBA first-round playoff series. Things carried over to the old ballpark as well.

During game one of the series, Kyrie saluted his former hometown fans with a double middle finger. Irving said he was just giving back the energy he received. Now, the whole city has been stirred into an anti-Kyrie fervor.

At last night’s Red Sox game at Fenway Park, the Boston faithfull started their own Kyrie Irving chant. They repeatedly yelled, “F*ck Kyrie!” as the game went on. It is clear that Boston fans are focused on getting the Nets star off his game.

In 2019, Kyrie Irving said he planned to re-sign and remain a Boston Celtic. Things didn’t work out as Irving decided to join Kevin Durant on the Nets. Since then, he’s received nothing but negative reactions from Boston fans.
