RHOP Ashley Darby Is Splitting With Husband After 8 Years Of Marriage

The Real Housewives of Potomac cast has a lot of drama and it continues to make headlines. After Ashley Darby’s husband was accused of cheating, she came to his defense which shut down the rumors. However, it seems the drama didn’t end there as the couple have reportedly called it quits.

Ashley announced she and husband Michael Darby are separating. The reality star released a statement to The Daily Dish confirming that she and her spouse had parted ways after more than seven years of marriage.

Ashley told the outlet, “Almost eight years ago, when Michael and I said ‘I do,’ we anticipated sharing every single day together from that moment forward.” She added that, “Unfortunately, that is not our current reality. We have decided to separate.” The news came as a shock to fans as the couple seemed to be doing well.

‘We are aware that there will be many speculative views as to why we have made this decision. People will be quick to assume that the causes were too much intrusion by reality TV into the most personal parts of our lives, age gap issues, cultural problems, or child-rearing differences.’

Ashley confirmed that the aforementioned factors might have impacted their “pure love for each other.” but no single reason is the root cause of their mutual decision to go about their separate ways. She asserted that, “We are now both at very different stages in our lives and have different goals for our futures.”

The separated couple, who wed in May of 2014, are parents to sons Dean Michael Darby, two, and Dylan Matthew Darby, one. According to Bravo, the pair initially met 11 years ago when she was working at the L2 Lounge in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., and she asked him about exploring an internship at his company.
