WWE Hall Of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin has done so much for the pro wrestling world. He was the face of the Attitude Era and went on to become one of the biggest pro wrestlers in the history of the business. Steve Austin also never thought he’d never be back in the ring.
In the main event of WrestleMania 38 Night 1, Steve Austin duked it out with Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match. The Texas Rattlesnake defeated Owens in a match that went better than expected.
While speaking on the Brewbound Podcast, Steve Austin was asked about his health after his WrestleMania 38 match. Steve Austin stated that he feels 100% and admitted that he never thought he’d ever be back in the ring.
“Oh, I’m 100 percent. I picked up a little bit of a cold the other day but I’m back home in Nevada. Shoot, [Saturday], I was 100 percent and of course went back in action on Sunday, did a little extra physicality as a part of the show but, you know, it’s just an exciting time for me to back to a business that I really, really love and you know, I never thought I’d be back in a ring but, there we were headlining, main event for the — headlining WrestleMania for night one and it was just truly an honor to be out there and really excited to be out there.”
Steve Austin also stated that he will be at WrestleMania 39 if Vince McMahon books him. We will have to wait and see whether he will return next year or not.
