Logic had a successful career before he went into early retirement. The rapper retired from music to focus on his family during the pandemic. He returned to the rap scene in summer 2021 and he doesn’t want Def Jam to botch his release.

The Maryland native took to social media to call out Def Jam for allegedly holding up his album release. Logic claimed the record label is doing him dirty by trying to simultaneously release his latest album instead of putting out a double album.

“Def Jam, why are you f**king up my releases man!? First of all, I love you Tunji. Tunji is my guy. He ain’t got nothing to do with this. What the f**k is going on, man!? I told Def Jam that I wanted to release my s**t as a two pack and I just found out that they are releasing it as two singles at the same time.

“What kind of s**t is that!? All this time they’ve been telling me, ‘Oh, don’t drop your music video early cause if you do you might upset our partners who feel like YouTube’s getting an exclusive.’ I don’t give a f**k about none of that s**t! I care about my fans, man. I care about hip hop, I care about music.”

The folks at Def Jam have not responded to Logic’s accusations as of this writing. We hope that cooler heads prevail in this situation so that both parties could end the dispute in a peaceful way.
