Snoop Dogg is one of the most successful rappers of all time. The Compton native has constantly reinvented himself, allowing for an appeal to a diverse audience. Snoop has also gone into the cannabis business and hopes to put his brand on hot dogs and recently bought Death Row Records. For those looking to hire the Doggfather, his services don’t come cheap.
Snoop Dogg appeared on the Full Send Podcast on Wednesday. There, he revealed what it will cost to get him to do a guest verse on a track. The dollar amount is staggering for just sixteen bars.
Snoop said he charges $250,000 for such an appearance, and another bag that large to appear in the music video. Getting him to show up in the music video costs extra. Rappers who want to work with Snoop won’t be able to do so on the cheap.
“You’ll get about 16 bars. And when it’s time to do the video, I need to get another $250,000 up out of you. And you only got an hour so get to filming.”
Snoop has over a thousand guest appearances thus far in his illustrious career. Anyone with a calculator can figure out that he has made a ton of money from guest spots. His next collaboration will come with the mega-popular Korean boy band, BTS.
Snoop Dogg won’t come cheap for anyone looking for a major name to do a spot on their record. His popularity warrants it, though, and the hefty price tag hasn’t stopped many from acquiring his unique voice. Even BTS wants a piece of Snoop.
