Elon Musk is adamant that he wants to buy Twitter and the only thing that’s in the billionaire’s way is the company itself, or is it? It is now being reported that Musk is set to discuss his takeover proposal with Twitter executives tomorrow (Sunday).
According to The Wall Street Journal, the two sides will discuss the multi-billion dollar deal this weekend. This shows that Twitter execs are willing to hear Musk’s bid to purchase the microblogging site.
Musk has publicly reiterated his call to buy Twitter for $43 billion, saying he’s got the $46.5 billion in legit financing to actually make the deal possible. Though, he insists he won’t budge on $54.20 per share.
Twitter higher-ups are also taking into account a number of factions such as a final valuation of what they think the app is worth. Also, several shareholders are pressurizing them to, at the very least, have a table talk with Musk, per Reuters.
The Tesla founder intends to put an end to spam bots if his Twitter takeover bid succeeds. Will Twitter execs bow down to Musk? We’ll have to wait till tomorrow to find out.
