Salma Hayek Spotted On The Set Of Magic Mike 3 As Last Minute Substitution For Thandiwe Newton

Salma Hayek made a name for herself in Hollywood by appearing in films such as Desperado, From Dusk till Dawn, Wild Wild West, and Dogma. Hayek’s work in television directing, producing, and acting has earned her four Emmy nominations. Recently, the actress was spotted on the set of ‘Magic Mike 3’ as a last-minute replacement for Thandiwe Newton.

Salma Hayek was spotted on the set of Magic Mike’s Last Dance for the first time since filling in for Thandiwe Newton‘s role in Channing Tatum’s male stripper threequel. The 55-year-old actress was seen entering a car while wearing a large black coat over baggy grey sweatpants and Ugg boots and holding what appeared to be a page of the script in her jacket pocket. 

According to Page Six, Hayek was a last-minute replacement for Newton after the Westworld actress allegedly got into a shouting match with the franchise’s lead actor and producer. Despite several sources claiming that Newton and Tatum had a fight, it was reported that it was “not the reason” for her departure from the set. Several sources have stated that her departure was due to personal family issues.

Newton’s agent reportedly flew out from Los Angeles to check on her health and assist in finding a way to “calm things down.” Then things took a turn for the worse in the situation.

“She fired her UK agent of three decades, and then her US agent Gaby Morgerman flew in from Los Angeles to try to calm things down,” a source claimed, adding that, “Thandiwe’s team wants her to go to rehab for mental health support.”

The God’s Country star has also been going through a difficult divorce from her husband, Ol Parker, who was spotted earlier this week looking disheveled in his $2 million home by himself. The 49-year-old Emmy winner also went to the ER recently, where she revealed that she had cut herself on some glass. She shared an Instagram photo from the hospital with no mention of her divorce, rehab, or Magic Mike.

It’s unclear how big of a role Hayek will have to fill in for Newton, or whether production will have to reshoot any scenes that are already in the can, but Tatum and the rest of the crew are reportedly moving forward without delay. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
