Misha Collins made his first appearance as the angel Castiel in Season 4 of Supernatural in 2008. Misha’s character, Castiel, came out as gay moments before he died in the final season of the show. The 47-year-old Supernatural actor revealed that he is bisexual during a recent public appearance.
According to CBR, Misha Collins, the star of Supernatural, has reportedly come out as bisexual. Collins asked a crowd of fans at Creation Entertainment’s Supernatural Offical Convention in Secaucus, NJ, “How many of you would consider yourself introverts? How many extroverts? And how many bisexuals?”
Collins waved his hand and seemed to say, “I’m all three,” amid a wave of clapping and cheering from the audience. Collins then changed the subject and has yet to confirm this as a coming out.
Supernatural, created by Eric Kripke (The Boys) and starring Ackles and Padalecki as monster-hunting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, ran for 15 seasons on The CW, concluding its 327-episode run on Nov. 19, 2020. Netflix is currently streaming all 15 seasons of Supernatural.
The Winchesters, a prequel series, is currently in the works, with Ackles set to reprise his role as Dean as the series’ narrator. Another Supernatural alum, Robbie Thompson, who also served as a producer and writer on the original series, will pen the scripts for the new show.
Collins is currently set to appear as the Batman villain Harvey Dent aka Two-Face in an upcoming show on The CW called Gotham Knights. “If [the Gotham Knights pilot] gets picked up and turned into a series, which would be really cool, my character will be Harvey Dent for the whole first year,” Collins said of his role.
“So I have a nice long stretch of not being two-faced. And then I become Two-Face! Yeah, I’m looking forward to it and I’ll be the old person on the show!” The release date for Gotham Knights is unknown, but it is said to take place after Batman’s death.
We’ll have to wait and see when Collins confirms this as a coming out. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
