DaBaby’s 2018 Self Defense Claim Might Be Proven Wrong After New Evidence

DaBaby’s name has been dragged through the mud after making a controversial and homophobic statement at Rolling Loud in Miami last year. Even after that, things have not been the best for him. New evidence has surfaced and it could land the rapper in trouble again.

Back in November of 2018, DaBaby was at a Walmart in North Carolina where he was with two children and his then-girlfriend Mariah Osborne. DaBaby claimed that a man came up to him and drew a gun.

The man was 19-year-old Jaylin Craig, who DaBaby shot dead. The rapper’s narrative was such that it was done in self-defense, so he was able to get away without getting murder changes.

Since the shooting, Craig’s mother, LaWanda Horsley, has been adamant that her son didn’t do anything wrong. Craig’s friend, Henry Douglas, who was with him at the time of the shooting, also claimed that DaBaby started everything.

As revealed by Rolling Stone, newly-obtained surveillance footage has shown DaBaby darting at Douglas before Craig tried to break the fight. From there, the angle changes and it can be seen that DaBaby pulled out a gun and shot Craig.

With this new evidence, Craig’s family believes that there is reasonable doubt regarding DaBaby’s self-defense claims. We will keep you updated on this ongoing story.
