Kim Kardashian and her whole family is embroiled in a court battle with Blac Chyna. Kim has always been accused of blackfishing multiple times previously. This time the gans have noticed a similar display of blackfishing while out with boo Pete Davidson.

The couple attended the Mark Twain Prize For American Humor in Washington on Sunday. Many noticed the SKIMS founder’s skin complexion as it looked visibly darker than usual. Thus it sparked another round of controversy about appropriating black culture.

Kim sported a heavy tan while wearing a black sequinned dress on the night. She was seated next to her boyfriend Pete in the audience at The Kennedy Center. Critics flooded Reddit to accuse the SKIMS mogul of blackfishing soon after pictures of her were released online.

One user wrote on Reddit in a since-deleted comment: “When are we going to pull [Kim] upon the constant blackfishing? She is just unabashedly pretending to be a different race?” Another added: “Her dress is pretty, but she looks really dark. Like, chill out on the spray tan.” A third commented: “I’m shocked Pete doesn’t get residually tan just from being around her bc damn, shawty out here looking like a solar flare.”

Kim has repeatedly been called out for blackfishing and cultural appropriation over the years. Back in March, she was slammed for her “out of control” tan while on a dinner date with Pete. In 2017, Kim was accused of blackfishing in a KKW Beauty ad but retaliated by calling her critics “so toxic”.

This recurring theme of looking a certain way makes people of color feel uncomfortable. Kim’s prolonged theme of looking “black” seems to be getting out of hand. No matter how much fans critique the reality star, it always lands on deaf ears.
