There have been plenty of scary incidents happening at ballparks around the country. For the most part, these involve adults arguing over a professional sport that they have no control over. The latest instance of violence surrounding baseball was much scarier.

Players, parents and community members were taking in a youth baseball game in North Charleston, South Carolina yesterday evening. Everything was completely normal until around 8:44 PM. Video from the game captured the terrifying sound of gunshots ringing out from nearby, according to TMZ.

Children scrambled for cover upon hearing the gunshots. The video captured a horrific scene. Several shots rang out in the night as the confused kids rushed to safety. The gunfire continued for several frightening seconds before it finally let up.

The North Charleston Police Department said the gunfire came from a nearby parking lot. A large group of teenagers had been involved in a fight. After the brawl, they began shooting at each other.
