Tekashi 6ix9ine is one of today’s most engaging hip-hop artists. Fans are actively commenting about his antics, and he puts himself in dangerous situations. He does, however, manage to perform nice deeds, and his peers are acknowledging them.
6ix9ine took to Instagram on Monday to tell fans about his recent Good Samaritan act, when he had $50,000 to donate to a family in need in Mexico. According to the self-proclaimed King of New York, he was driving to the airport when he came upon a hut beside the road and decided to give the money to the family staying there, which totaled one million pesos.
Royce Da 5’9 saw the video and re-shared it to praise 6ix9ine for his lovely gesture. It doesn’t take much for someone deemed controversial to display their humanity, according to Royce.
“I don’t care what he is.. This is dope.”
Some said that 6ix9ine gave the money away for clout and disagreed with the Detroit rap legend. They also accused him of displaying their faces in the video, which allowed others to see who received the significant sum of money. 6ix9ine isn’t going to let the criticism stop him from giving back.
The “GUMMO” rapper did another charitable act on April 24, giving money away to a couple selling flowers beside the road. 6ix9ine stated that he was driving to the airport (again) when he noticed the pair selling flowers. The Brooklyn native’s latest good deeds came after an interview with TMZ in which he revealed that the cash he showed off two weeks ago was merely prop money.
