Hip-hop and basketball are always intertwined, and that’s exactly what’s occurring during the 2022 NBA Playoffs. In a photo shared across social media, Boosie Badazz has received an autographed jersey from Penny Hardaway.
On Tuesday, Boosie Badazz was in the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee for Game 5 of the Memphis Grizzlies’ first-round playoff match-up against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and he met up with an NBA legend. Boosie hooked up with four-time NBA All-Star Penny Hardaway after the game ended and posed for a photograph, according to an image circulated around social media.
Penny also gifted Boosie with an autographed Orlando Magic home jersey as an appreciation for attending the game. The Grizzlies won 111 to 109 to take a 3-2 lead in the series. After a corner three-pointer by Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards knotted the game at 109, Grizzlies All-Star Ja Morant spoiled the scene with a difficult last-second lay-up to secure the win.
Boosie Badazz wasn’t the only notable face watching the action. Usher, the R&B legend, was also on the court and had a good time with the crowd when he sat next to Ja Morant’s father, Tee Morant. They were dressed similarly and ended up on the jumbotron of the Lookalike Cam.
Tee Morant, looking like Usher’s twin attended games in the first-round playoff series and it caused quite a stir on social media. People couldn’t get over the resemblances, and the Confessions singer let his fans know he was aware of the discussion.
