Jake Paul Places $1 Million Bet On Upcoming Fight

Jake Paul is renowned for placing bets when it comes to boxing. After losing to the 5-0 boxer in August, Tyron Woodley had to get an “I Love You Jake Paul” tattoo thanks to a bet over ink. However, Paul’s bet with Eddie Hearn for this weekend’s bout between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor will be a million dollars, not tattoos.

Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor are set to fight at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night in one of the biggest women’s boxing matches ever. The fight, according to DAZN executive Joe Markowski, could be the most-watched female fight ever. During the final press conference for Saturday’s big fight, Hearn started the wager after asking Paul about his fighter.

“You’re fully confident that your charge will be victorious and become undisputed lightweight world champion?” 

Of course, JP supported his prediction that Serrano would win. And that’s when the fighter placed his wager.

“I got a bet for you Eddie. I bet you all the jewelry that I’m wearing right now that Amanda wins the fight.”

Hearn responded with a couple of jokes, claiming that “10 grand is not a lot,” but Paul claims his diamond chain is worth $500k. To which Hearn answered, “Maybe we can talk a million,” and the two shook hands and placed the bet.

The $1 million bet is not the only big-money deals being made this week. Paul previously stated that the purse for the two female boxers will be more than that.
