James Corden is an actor, comedian, singer, writer, producer, and television personality from the United Kingdom, but he is best known in the United States as the host of The Late Late Show with James Corden. He has long entertained fans with the CBS late-night discussion show that started airing back 2015. Recently, he expressed his decision to leave the show and it appears he’s already had some plans for his future.
Earlier this week, the presenter announced that he has decided to quit with him due to leave in spring 2023. He admitted that he’s not opposed to the idea of returning to the UK with his family as he entertains the idea of getting a job back home.
According to Bookmaker Coral, it’s likely that Corden, who rose to fame as a cast member and co-creator of Gavin & Stacey, will host his own show upon his return. As of now the betting odds of of him hosting a late-night talk show in the UK next year are currently 1-2, but that’s not the only project that it’s rumored he could present.
Corden may also host the revived Big Brother, with the popular reality show set to make its long-awaited return next year. The bookmaker has teased that Corden is 4-1 to host Match of the Day, whilst he’s currently listed as 6-1 to present the XFactor if it returns to our screens in the near future. A spokesperson for Coral explained this line of betting.
“[He’s] unlikely to be short of any work offers when he returns to the UK. We make him odds-on to host a late-night chat show on these shores.”
The presenter announced his departure from the Late Late Show earlier this week, following reports that he had been offered £15 million to stay for another two years. CBS president George Cheeks said said in a statement that the broadcaster wished “he could stay longer” but are “very proud” that he made the network his “home” in the US.
