That ’70s Show was one of the most-watched shows on FOX. The period sitcom aired on the network from August 23, 1998, to May 18, 2006. The show kickstarted the careers of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Now that show is getting a spin-of, and some of the kids will return.
It was previously reported that Netflix is working on a spinoff for the Fox hit series. The Netflix production is titled That ’90s Show. Now, fans have all the more reasons to get hyped for the show.
According to Variety, the streaming giant is brining back some cast members from the original series for the spinoff show. Five of the six original stars will make an appearance in That ’90s Show.
Topher Grace, Lauren Prepon, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Wilmer Valderrama will all return as Eric, Donna, Kelso, Jackie and Fez respectively. Danny Masterson, who played Hyde on the show, is the only cast member not making a comeback.
Masterson is in the middle of a terrible situation as past sexual assault allegations destroyed his career. He might never work again, so it will be interesting to see whether they reference Steven Hyde’s whereabouts at all.
Kurtwood Smith, who played Eric’s father Red, and Debra Jo Rupp, who played Eric’s mother Kitty, will also reprise their roles, though that information has been known for some time.
