Keanu Reeves started his acting career in theatre and television films before making his feature film debut in Youngblood. Decades later, Reeves made another comeback in 2014 as the titular assassin in the John Wick film series and this was after his career blew up once again as Neo in 1999’s The Matrix. He may now feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Many fans have been excitedly anticipating the arrival of Keanu Reeves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Seems like the John Wick and Matrix actor might have just landed his first Marvel role. According to GFR, Keanu Reeves has been cast in “a secret Marvel role.”
Unfortunately, that doesn’t narrow it down much. They did, however, imply that his character is set for a film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, rather than just any other series.
“So far, our source was able to confirm that the new project is a film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as opposed to a series on Disney+. We should be seeing Keanu Reeves in an upcoming Marvel movie, and unless their plans go amiss, it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing any announcements for his part before it’s actually happening. This is one of the big Marvel secret castings.”
As a result, they’ve speculated that this character will be introduced similarly to Harry Styles’ Eros. So, once we know who Keanu Reeves will portray in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we may have to wait a long time to see his character fully developed.
Nevertheless, this is an exciting suggestion of what’s to come if true. However, given Keanu Reeves’ status as one of Hollywood’s top performers, it’s not surprising that Marvel would want him to play a large role.
The possibilities really are endless, especially with the Multiverse expanding, so it’ll be exciting to see what happens going forward. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
