NeNe Leakes says that she wanted to drop the claims she made about the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” long ago, but the executives blacklisted her which made it impossible for her to take any legal action. This is the latest accusation she laid down in a recent tirade against the reality television show.
NeNe told TMZ at LAX Monday that she is being constantly silenced by Bravo and being stopped from filing her lawsuit for discrimination.
Leakes also told the outlet that she was working nonstop and now she is getting nothing. Fans of ‘RHOA’ know for a fact that NeNe was the center of attention of the show before she quit in 2020.
NeNe is hopeful that her lawsuit will end the discrimination against Black women. She also shared that getting called out as a Black Woman with blonde hair is disrespectful and unacceptable.
NeNe recently filed a lawsuit in federal court in Atlanta, accusing the executives of the show for ignoring her complaints about racist remarks pointed at her by fellow cast member Kim Zolciak-Biermann. In the documents, NeNe claims that Kim, on several instances made racially offensive comments about NeNe and Kandi Burruss. However, Kim is not being sued.
NeNe revealed that she complained about Kim’s comments but instead of getting sued, she was rewarded with her own spinoff series. She dropped hints last November that she would consider returning to the show if things improved.
