Cardi B Breaks Down Online Saying ‘I’m A Prisoner Of Fame’

Cardi B is a true sensation who has been on the rise for a long time. She recently made the headlines as she wore a gown all covered with coins and chains at the Met Gala. However, after some turmoil from her Met Gala party, Cardi B claimed that the price of being a star resulted in relentless criticism and has placed a bullseye on her back.

The WAP rapper spoke up on Instagram Live saying she feels like a prisoner of fame and hasn’t been free to be her genuine self since 2014. Her video was released shortly after several now-famous clips from her Met Gala after-party went viral.

Cardi B offered a toast to partygoers at Playboy’s The Boom Boom After Party in one clip, wishing them a happy time and encouraging them to drink up but it’s her snorting hand gesture that has folks fuming. Cardi B appeared to address her rage in her live confession, stating she can’t even make jokes anymore without people taking them seriously. However, it’s crystal clear that Cardi was joking when she spoke the statement during the party.

There’s also a clip of Billie Eilish at the party, where many assumed she was calling Cardi “weird” while entertaining the crowd. Cardi debunked that allegation as well, revealing DMs between her and Eilish in which Billie claims she was merely joking when she called partygoers who were photographing Cardi’s butt “weird”. So, there’s no beef there.
