Elon Musk Believed To Be Behind Amber Heard’s Divorce Settlement Donations

Amber Heard promised to donate the entirety of her $7 million divorce settlement from Johnny Depp to two different charities. Those obligations have not yet been met. Several donations, some coming from Johnny Depp and others from Heard, have been made. Others have more suspicious origins.

According to Page Six, Elon Musk may have played a role in funding Amber’s contributions. The ACLU said they have received less than half of the money Heard promised to donate. The defamation lawsuit between Heard and Depp has brought to light the fact that both Heard and Depp combined for $200,000 of the donations.

The rest was unaccounted for. It is believed that Elon Musk’s donor-advised fund anonymously sent $500,000 to the ACLU in June of 2017. A similar fund controlled by Fidelity also anonymously gave $350,000 on Heard’s behalf.

The second donation is not believed to have been tied to Elon Musk. Musk became involved in the scandalous court battle after Johnny Depp accused Amber Heard of having an affair with the Tesla boss. The two dated for a brief period between 2016 and 2017.

Amber and Elon were able to reconcile their differences earlier that year. The reunion was short lived. The couple broke up again just months later.

Elon Musk has not commented on these allegations. The Depp legal team is also staying quiet. We will have to wait and see if more info comes out in court about who exactly funded these sizable contributions.
