Nicki Minaj is, without a doubt, one of the world’s most well-known rappers in the game. On Monday, Minaj was one of the celebrities who attended the Met Gala 2022. Unfortunately, the native New Yorker was very close to having an embarrassing red carpet moment.
Nicki Minaj had to constantly stand with her arms across her chest while presenting her Ricardo Tisci-designed outfit outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her Burberry gown, it seemed, did not fit well.
Nicki Minaj spoke up about her Met Gala wardrobe malfunction and why her dress kept slipping down. Minaj reportedly struggled with one component of the garment, telling Vogue‘s on-site live stream correspondent, La La Anthony, that the strapless gown kept slipping down because the bra inside didn’t fit properly.
“The only unplanned thing about my look is my boobs popping out. Because they made my cup size a little small.”
The gown, Anthony joked, was designed for Minaj before she gave birth to her son in September 2020. “Enjoy these titties, because you won’t ever see them again,” Minaj agreed with Anthony’s remark.
Minaj wore a black ball gown with feathers, a huge black belt, and leather trousers to the event. She finished the appearance with a baseball cap and jewels all over her face and body. Apart from the clothing issue, Minaj expressed her support for Tisci, praising the costume he designed for her, particularly her hat.
