In the main event of UFC 270, Francis Ngannou successfully defended his UFC Heavyweight Championship against Ciryl Gane. Ngannou devised a new strategy as he used a lot of grappling in his five-round fight against Gane.
Francis Ngannou eventually revealed that he didn’t like a free man whatsoever in the UFC. Ngannou even claimed that he gave up $7 million to get a better contract in the UFC.
Last month, Tyson Fury successfully defended his WBC and The Ring Heavyweight titles against Dillian Whyte in a solid match. Afterwar, Francis Ngannou came out and they seemingly confirmed a huge superfight.
While speaking to TMZ Sports, UFC President Dana White talked about a potential match between Ngannou and Fury. Dana White laughed it off as a silly conversation. He added that even someone like Ngannou can’t land proper shots at Fury.
“100% and he just fought Ciryl Gane and wrestled him. Silly conversation.”
With Francis Ngannou’s UFC contract set to expire at the end of this year, we wonder if the fight will happen or not. Dana White certainly does not believe so.
