Amber Heard’s Resurfaced Interview Contradicts Testimony About Johnny Depp

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s court dispute is currently a major topic in Hollywood. This week, Amber took the stand and made several accusations against Johnny. Amber Heard seemed to contradict an allegation she made in court in a recently resurfaced video.

According to Page Six, Amber Heard appeared to contradict herself when she said she “wasn’t a fan” of Johnny Depp prior to their relationship. TikTok user @courtneymack resurfaced an October 2011 interview from the exes’ press tour for their film “The Rum Diary,” combining it with footage of Heard testifying in court on Wednesday to demonstrate how her story allegedly altered.

“I knew who he was,” Heard, 36, testified. “I wasn’t familiar, you know. I wasn’t a fan of his work. I wasn’t familiar with him.” The montage then goes to a decade-old SheKnows interview in which Heard was questioned if she was a fan of Depp when she was younger. “I mean who isn’t a fan of Johnny’s? That’s a given,” she quickly replied. “He’s been a cultural icon and a talented actor for since I can remember.”

Social media users swarmed the video’s comments section to accuse Heard of perjury. “At this point, she’s made up so many lies that she cannot remember what she has said,” one viewer wrote. “Caught lying in court under oath !” another user alleged. “’I knew who he was’ ‘i wasn’t familiar with him’ wait, what?” someone else commented.

Even Depp’s legal team has accused his ex-wife of acting on the stand, claiming she gave “the performance of her life,” a comment her spokesperson slammed as “attacking the victim and refusing to take responsibility.” The “Aquaman” star said Depp abused her, threatened to kill her, performed a “cavity search” on her, broke her nose, and called her a “s*ut” because of her professional connection with James Franco.
