Lil Nas X is currently one of the most highly-discussed rappers in the music industry, but not all of it is for reasons he would like. His “MONTERO (Call My By Your Name)” music video made him a huge subject of controversy as he could be seen giving a lap dance to Lucifer in the video.
Boosie Badazz previously launched into a homophobic tirade against Lil Nas X, which certainly caused a lot of outrage. Boosie Badazz claimed to have international love and respect in response to the outrage.
On the other hand, Jack Harlow has seen a meteoric rise in the world of hip-hop over the past couple of years. Jack had his first number one hit less than a year after he became known for collaborating with Lil Nas X.
While speaking to The Guardian, Jack Harlow stated that he believes Lil Nas X is a hero for how he handles homophobia.
“The totally inappropriate reaction to him lets you know that we still have some progress to be made. And you hear it in passing; there’s still some homophobia going on. But he’s taking the hit that artists won’t have to take in the future. That’s what makes him a hero.”
Jack Harlow also had not seen the original White Men Can’t Jump before being cast for the reboot. We’ll have to wait and see how the film will turn out to be.
