Conor McGregor shockingly fractured his ankle at the end of the first round of his UFC 264 fight against Dustin Poirier last year. Since then McGregor did a lot of disturbing things that angered people. Conor McGregor is also down to fighting Charles Oliveira.
The Notorious One has been working hard on his road to recovery from his injury over the past several months. He is more bulked up and fans are eagerly waiting to see his UFC return. However, Dustin Poirier isn’t one of them at all.
At UFC 274, Charles Oliveira defeated Justin Gaethje in the main event of the pay-per-view. Following his win, Oliveria called out Conor McGregor for a fight in the future.
The Notorious One took to Twitter and reacted to Oliveira’s callout, as he said that although he was unsure of competing as a lightweight again, he is more than down to fighting Olveira in the future. Surprisingly, Conor seemed to have accepted this challenge without dropping any profanities.
“I’m not sure I wish to cut the weight. I am really enjoying being built like a refrigerator. I feel I want to fight at this size just to watch it back lol. But I’d love to fight the Brazilian, 100%! I love Brazil and I’m unbeaten against Brazil. All KO’s. I’ve some thinking to do.”
Conor McGregor is expected to make his UFC return in July this year. He will obviously have a lot of eyes on him, and many fans are hoping to see Notorious return to his former level. It remains to be seen who his first opponent will be once he comes back. Keep checking back with Thirsty for more!
