Ja Morant has worked hard to establish himself as one of the most exciting players in the NBA right now. Ja’s insane dunks have helped him gain a large fanbase already. Unsurprisingly, he has his fair share of haters as well and he is also known to be a bit cutting when needed.
Recently, Ja Morant even trash talked Steph Curry after a tremendous performance during the playoffs. Ja Morant even clapped back at all of his critics who dragged his dad.
Morant quit Twitter back in December as well due to all the hate he had to face. Recently, Ja Morant left Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals series between his Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors with 6:19 left and his team down by 17.
This is because had a knee injury and believed that the injury happened when he was grabbed by Jordan Poole. Morant tweeted a video of the play and wrote: “broke the code” in quotes.
Golden State coach Steve Kerr said Dillon Brooks “broke the code” with his blatant foul that ended up injuringGary Payton II in Game 2 of the series. Morant might’ve thought that the Warriors were returning the favor with their own dirty game.
The Grizzlies lost Saturday’s game 142-112 and are currently down 2-1 in the series. We’ll have to see if they can gain back their momentum or not. Either way, Morant will likely have plenty to say.
