Kylie Jenner Ignores Haters Who Criticized Her Virgil Abloh Tribute

Kylie Jenner has become an internet celebrity in recent years, and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. Kylie Jenner looked stunning in her off-white bridal gown at the Met Gala, which she chose solely to pay tribute to late designer Virgil Abloh. Unfortunately, this backfired on her and people started criticizing her look. That being said, Kylie Jenner ignored all the haters who were criticizing her Virgil Abloh tribute.

Jenner seemed undeterred by the backlash over her Met Gala gown for 2022. The reality TV actress wore an Off-White gown with a bustier and ruffled organza skirt, as well as a veiled “thinking cap,” to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday.

Kylie Jenner was also very emotional during the Met Gala. She claimed that she and Virgil were planning on attending the Met Gala together. Unfortunately, this couldn’t happen. Virgil Abloh passed away last year, which was too much for Kylie Jenner to bear.

Kylie shared images of her preparation for the event in a video broadcast to her YouTube account. Despite conflicting reactions to the enormous ensemble, she stated that she didn’t “care what people think” because it was a tribute to late fashion designer Virgil Abloh.

“I feel like I was supposed to go with Off-White because Virgil and I talked about this for the last two years. I was supposed to go with him in 2020, so it feels right that my Met come back I’m going with Off-White for sure. It also puts off the pressure of what people think about my look because I love it so much. It’s so much more special to me that I don’t care what people think. It’s very special. I’ve already cried a few times.”

“I wanted to do something big this year. Every year I’ve worn some type of tight mermaid dress, so this year I wanted to just wear something big, do something different. To be honest, I decided really last minute I wasn’t gonna go. I was like, ‘Unless I can go and honor Virgil and (his wife) Shannon would want me to go, and I would wear Off-White, then that’s the only reason I would go today.’ To honor him.”
