Paris Hilton still has a name that lights up headlines. Many people admire Hilton’s lifestyle and appearance. Recently, the socialite spoke out about ever-changing beauty standards on social media during a recent interview and she a some interesting points to say.

Daily Mail reports that the 41-year-old, who has almost 19 million Instagram followers, said that the overuse of filters and editing apps in today’s society can be ‘toxic’ for young people to see. Paris told host Lisa Wilkinson on The Sunday Project, “I can’t imagine being 12, 13-years-old and seeing these beauty standards that are not real, and using the filters all the time.”

“I think in some ways it can be very toxic.”

Paris rose to prominence after starring in reality television show The Simple Life from 2003 to 2007, alongside her best pal Nicole Richie. She went on to try her hand at acting and singing, while signing lucrative deals for clothing and perfume endorsements before establishing herself as a club DJ.

In her YouTube documentary, This Is Paris in 2020, she insisted she had created the character of ‘Paris Hilton’ to earn fame and build a multi-million dollar business empire. When asked if she believes people “underestimate” her, Paris said to Lisa, “If they don’t know me, definitely.”

Paris found her happily-ever-after and married Carter Reum over the course of a three-day extravaganza last November. Last month, she also expressed her wish to have twins with Carter. Fans are certainly happy to see their beloved star doing well. Stay tuned to Thirsty for future updates.
