LeBron James has had plenty of free time lately. His Los Angeles Lakers failed to qualify for the NBA playoffs, so King James has been enjoying a life of leisure. LeBron recently checked out some new music from Kendrick Lamar, and he was blown away.
Kendrick Lamar dropped a video for his new single, “The Heart Part 5,” over the weekend. Over 5 and a half million fans have already viewed the clip. Among them was LeBron James.
The NBA great reacted to the new track on Twitter. LeBron couldn’t come up with the words to express his thoughts. Instead, he let a series of emojis do the talking.
“OMFG!!!!!!!! [series of ‘mind blown’ emojis]”
The new track samples Marvin Gaye and the video features some creative imagery. Kendrick Lamar morphs into various hip-hop artists including Nipsey Hussle and Kanye West. Many fans commented that the new clip was a work of art.
LeBron James appears to agree. His mind was blown when he first checked out the track. James seems to be a big fan.
Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart” tracks never actually appear on his albums. They do act as teasers for what’s to come. If the next record takes cues from “The Heart Part 5,” LeBron James will be thrilled.
