Dave Chappelle’s set at the Hollywood Bowl did not go as planned as he was attacked. The man who was arrested for attacking Dave Chappelle will continue to stay behind bars after a judge refused to reduce his bail.
TMZ reports that Isaiah Lee, the attacker, was brought to court on Tuesday, May 10th in Los Angeles. he asked the judge to reduce his $30k bond and wanted to be released on his own recognizance.
Unfortunately for him, the judge denied his request and his bail remains the same. Earlier, Lee was charged with four misdemeanors including battery, possession of a weapon with the intention to assault, unauthorized access to the stage area during an ongoing performance, and commission of an act that causes altercation to an event or the interferes with the performer.
As we reported earlier, Dave Chapelle was performing at the Hollywood Bowl this month when a man pounced at him on stage, making Dave fall to the ground. Police later found the guy in possession of a fake gun with a knife attached to the end of the gun.
Isaiah has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. If he is found guilty, he might face more or less eighteen months in county jail.
