Fred Savage was once one of the most beloved child stars of the 1980s and early 90s. The star of “The Wonder Years” became a household name. Savage recently returned to the franchise to work on its updated reboot.
Savage’s stay on the series didn’t last long. Fred was fired from the show just days ago. The termination came after several allegations emerged that Fred Savage had committed years of misconduct against his co-workers.
Page Six reported that Fred Savage had a long history of allegations of abuse and misconduct. An attorney for Youngjoo Hwang, costume designer for Savage’s “The Grinder,” also said that the firing was a long time coming. Many of those who worked with Fred knew that it was only a matter of time before he was let go.
“I am not the least bit surprised. When my client came to me in 2018 with her allegations against Mr. Savage, we discovered that there was at least one lawsuit that had been filed against him in the past and that Mr. Savage had allegedly engaged in this type of behavior not just towards my client but other women as well.
It is unfortunate that it took my client speaking out and now reportedly these others before action was finally taken.”
Fred Savage’s firing from “The Wonder Years” may only be the beginning. Plenty of people have come out to accuse him of the same type of misconduct. Time will tell if it’s enough to ruin his career or place him in any sort of criminal liability.
