Michelle Williams Announces Pregnancy With Thomas Kail

Michelle Williams and Thomas Kail are once again expecting. The Academy Award-nominated actress and “Hamilton” director will welcome their new addition this fall. The couple couldn’t be more excited.

Williams announced the pregnancy to Variety. It will be her second child with Kail and her third in total. Michelle said it was a joyous occasion.

“It’s totally joyous. As the years go on, you sort of wonder what they might hold for you or not hold for you. It’s exciting to discover that something you want again and again, is available one more time. That good fortune is not lost on me or my family.”

The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Hart, in 2020. Giving birth during the COVID-19 lockdowns gave Michelle Williams a new perspective on life. She said his birth shed some light among a litany of dark headlines.

Michelle also told the outlet that the circumstances of her first child’s birth gave her a new perspective on a lot of things. Williams has since become an advocate for pay equity and reproductive freedoms. She says Hart renewed her commitment to making the world a better place.

Michelle and Thomas are hoping their latest addition will do more of the same. After finishing up her current filming obligations, she plans to take a break from acting. That doesn’t mean that she won’t be finding all kinds of new inspiration when the baby is born this Fall.
