Chris Jericho has been coming up with all sorts of new ideas. The leader of the Jericho Appreciation Society has filed several new trademarks over the past year. Several of them have already been used on AEW television, such as “Sports Entertainer,” and “The Influencer.” Jericho applied for yet another trademark on May 6.
Famed “Gimmick Attorney” Michael Dockins was the lawyer of record for the filing. Jericho’s latest protected term is “The Watch.” It is not known how Jericho plans to use the new name. The filing was standard for a wrestling-related trademark.
“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestlers and sports entertainers in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes”
Other recent trademarks registered by Chris Jericho include “The Wizard,” “GFY,” and “Jericho Appreciation Society.” Le Champion will now add “The Watch” to his growing library of intellectual properties.
Chris Jericho is expected to be joined by the Jericho Appreciation Society on tonight’s episode of Dynamite for a victory party. Jericho defeated Santana on last week’s show and now they are looking to rub salt in the wound as Eddie Kingston continues to be fed up with his antics. We will have to wait and see if “The Watch” is something that will be used in AEW.
