The bizarre case of Zara Pythian has concluded. A British jury has found the “Doctor Strange” actress and her husband, Victor Marke, guilty of multiple child sex charges. The couple was accused of giving multiple underage girls alcohol and convincing them to perform sex acts.
Zara Pythian recently denied the allegations. She said the accusations against her and her husband were ridiculous. The jury did not agree, and now they are both facing serious time behind bars.
According to Radar Online, the judge intends to pass on a harsh sentence. Pythian was facing 14 counts of child sex abuse. The activity started when the victim was just thirteen years old.
“Both of you know that the sentence I pass is likely to be measured by a considerable period of custody.”
Judge Mark Watson has scheduled a sentencing hearing for next Monday. There, Zara Pythian and Victor Marke will learn their fate. They could be in prison for a very long time, given the huge list of charges.
The disturbing nature of the crimes made international headlines. Pythian’s victim-blaming did not play well with the jury. Now, her career is likely over and she will have plenty of time to reflect as she sits in prison.
