Amber Heard Did Not Inspire Snapchat’s New Crying Filter

The ongoing legal battle between Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard continues to be discussed all around the world. Many people have now sided with Johnny Depp after learning a lot more about the case. Heard also did not inspire Snapchat’s new crying filer.

Recently, Heard claimed that Johnny Depp slapped her across the face and did a “cavity search,” since he thought she hid cocaine inside her. She also broke down before the court.

However, many people called her out for fake crying during her testimony. A new popular Snapchat filter that has users become a blubbering mess also led many to believe it was based on Amber Heard.

According to TMZ, the filter was not based on Amber Heard crying whatsoever. It was said that the filter has been in the works for 6 months, so it was in development long before Heard’s testimony.

Snapchat also has no intention of making fun of a domestic violence case. The platform had also previously released a big smiley face filter, so a sad one was bound to happen.

Amber Heard has a lot of things to be sad about regardless. She was also called out for hurting feminism with her allegations. The trial is now on a break until May 16th and it is certainly not in Amber Heard’s favor.
