It’s been five months since the Astroworld tragedy and the aftermath of it is still haunting Travis Scott and the showrunners. A lawsuit pertaining to the tragic event reveals pretty bold allegations against Scott & Co.
According to TMZ, Travis Scott, Live Nation and more are being sued by a woman. She is claiming that she suffered several injuries at Astroworld and that ultimately resulted in her miscarriage.
The plaintiff, Shanazia Williamson is claiming that she was in attendance at the Astroworld event back in November when the tragedy occurred. She says that she was trampled during the crowd surge which injured her shoulder, back, chest, leg, stomach, and other parts of her body.
The legal documents of the lawsuit specify, that Travis Scott and the showrunners, “failure to plan, design, manage, operate, staff, and supervise the event was a direct and proximate cause of Shanazia’s injuries and death of her and Jarawd’s (her partner) unborn child.”
The showrunners are co-defendants in this case, including Live Nation, Scoremore Holdings, ASM Global, Harris Co. Sports & Convention, and more. Since Texas law states a fetus that dies as a result of negligence can be the basis of a wrongful death lawsuit, regardless of fetus’ age. So this could be very bad for the defendants.
We will have to see how this plays out, but Travis Scott could have a lot more legal horror stories ahead of him. Keep checking back with Thirsty for more!
