Elon Musk is about to become the new ruler of Twitter once his transaction to purchase the social media giant is completed. In the midst of the billionaire’s takeover, the company has already started trimming down their executives.

According to New York Times, Twitter’s CEO has fired two of top executives on Thursday. Not only that the company has also frozen hiring process as it prepares for shift in business direction for Musk’s arrival.

Twitter’s general manager Kayvon Beykpour and general manager for revenue Bruce Falck are the two executives fired by the company. Beykpour and Falck have both taken to Twitter to address their departure. They don’t seem pleased with this turn of events.

Elon Musk is set to serve as Twitter’s interim CEO when his transaction of $44 billion goes through. He has also planned to take the company private and we are going to see more execs leaving social media giant soon.
