The hip-hop world was truly shaken when Young Thug, Gunna, and several other YSL affiliates were arrested under a Georgia RICO Act. The case continues to go on and make headlines as well. The hoodie that Gunna rocked in his famous mugshot also ended up getting a ton of business.
Young Thug and Gunna were denied parole from an Atlanta jail on additional drug and illegal guns charges. While Gunna is still in jail, one company is certainly making the most out of the opportunity.
According to TMZ, when looking at Gunna’s mugshot, which appeared to be a little fuzzy, some fans noticed the logo on the hoodie he was wearing. It was a brand called LaRopa.
The day that Gunna’s mug shot was released, the brand saw a 15% increase in sales for the hoodie compared to any other day. The next day saw a 24% increase in sales as well. Obviously, fans wanted to rock that famous hoodie.
It was said that Gunna doesn’t have a stake in the company, but just happened to be wearing that hoodie at the time of his arrest and mugshot. Either way, this might get him a future endorsement deal for sure, if he ever gets out of the slammer. In the meantime, Gunna is also not permitted to bond out of jail.
