Young Thug was recently arrested on multiple charges and is being held in custody. His entire YSL crew, along with Gunna, was also locked up. Thugger doesn’t seem to be in good conditions while in confinement.
Young Thug’s attorney recently told TMZ that the rapper has been going through hell in prison. He said he has filed a motion to get Thug out of jail on bond as soon as possible.
Brian Steel, who represents Thug, said the rapper is being held in total isolation in a windowless cement compartment with only a bed and a toilet. He also mentioned that in his cell there is an overhead light that stays on for 24 hours. That makes it difficult for the rapper to get any sleep.
Not only that, but Thug has no contact to humans, no access to media, nor does he get any space to exercise or shave. The outlet noted that Thug’s attorney was infuriated when describing the food his client is receiving. It’s jail food, after all, for many doesn’t even qualify as food.
The attorney pointed out all these hellish conditions violate many of Thug’s constitutional rights. More specifically, the 8th and 14th Amendments. It is noted that this is why Steel has filed necessary motions to get his client out immediately.
Young Thug was hit with seven additional charges after his arrest on Monday. He and Gunna are among 28 people associated with YSL listed in a 56-count indictment. The pair have also been denied bond. Given the severity of the case, Thugger will likely spend more time in jail until his lawyer works out something.
